Web Accessibility
This checklist was provided to authors to show what the PST would be focusing on in terms of web accessibility in the review of their work.
Text Elements
- Proper headings for text
- Descriptive text for hyperlinks
- Good contrast in foregrounds (text) against backgrounds
- No images of text (scanned book pages)
Images
- Alternative (alt) text for relevant images
- Non-content images have the appropriate alt text identification
Tables
- Limit table use for layout purposes
- Specify the heading for row headers
- Check reading order for table within another table
- No blank cells for formatting.
- Check reading order
Audio
- Text transcript
Video
- Closed Caption for all videos
- Optional audio transcript
